About to represent South America - CONMEBOL - in the upcoming 2023 FIFA Club World Cup in Saudi Arabia, Fluminense Football Club are one of the best sides in Brazil and certainly worthy of their stage in the Kit of the Week (KOTW) challenge.

And the prospect of designing a shirt for Flu got DF members pretty exercised.

This doesn’t happen every week - let’s face it, it doesn’t happen most weeks - but it could be argued that the 377th stage of the Crest Redesign Competition Weekly (CRCW) tasked the DF members with replacing a very good crest.

That said, when the Football Federation of Kosovo (Federata e Futbollit e Kosovës) unveiled their current identity two years ago, there was some pushback, so why not? So: we did.

The young Dynamic Herb Cebu Football Club - formed in 2021 - might not be familiar to too many globally but they are one of the top sides in the Philippines and their identity certainly justifies their featuring in the Crest Redesign Competition Weekly (CRCW).

Their stage wasn’t oversubscribed, but their crest - which is, in effect, a relatively mundane shield affair being photobombed by a whale shark swim-by - was certainly updated in fun ways by the five entrants.

People often forget Uruguay when discussing the big boys of international football, but winning the World Cup twice, plus Olympic football golds and a whopping 15 South American Championship/Copa América titles certainly qualifies them for the Kit of the Week (KOTW) treatment.

Rumours abound, apparently, that La Celeste will soon be joining the adidas stable, so the KOTW stage dedicated to them recently did have some three-striped entries, but supposedly outgoing supplier Puma got their branding on half the designs, including two of the three that dominated the voting.

Whatever ups and downs the fervently supported Olympique de Marseille have to deal with - on pitch and off - there’s no denying their standing when it comes to the history of football aesthetics.

Therefore the highly decorated French Ligue 1 side certainly qualify for a theoretical new crest via the Crest Redesign Competition Weekly (CRCW), and they got that in not insignificant numbers - the voting page has all the stage’s entries collected.

For the first time in quite a while, Espérance Sportive de Tunis - ES Tunis - aren’t actually Tunisian champions.

Here at DF, that wasn’t held against them, and they got the Kit of the Week (KOTW) treatment a couple of weeks ago, and, via the voting, Corinth has come out on top (again!), with a beautiful Kappa-branded shirt.
