Kit Design Tutorial for BeginnersHere

Hot on the heels of the Argentina stage, the 230th chapter of the Kit of the Week challenge focussed on another football great: Liverpool Football Club.

To say it didn’t disappoint is a huge understatement. We were treated to a patterned number where the predicted 2022-23 Nike template was deployed, a striking design branded as “Nike AIR”, a photorealistic effort hanging from Anfield’s Shankley Gates - so, so cool - and improvements on the American manufacturer’s 2020-21 and 2021-22 (“all-red”) releases - amongst other masterpieces!

While obscure teams being chosen for Kit of the Week (KOTW) stages is a lot of fun, you can’t really beat the occasional giant of football getting the treatment.

Enter 229 late last year and its focus on the Argentine national side. It was an absolute cracker.

There can be few stages of the Crest Redesign Competition Weekly with a more varied selection of styles than this one from late last year.

Stage 281 - dedicated to the Liga Venezolana’s Atlético Venezuela CF - had everything from modern, ultra-minimalist entries to timeless classics with an almost heraldic overtone, and it was perhaps unsurprising that four participants scored over 20 points in the voting.
