I like this shirt, but not the Orange, I think that it should be consigned to history as far as Werder shirts are concerned.

It might look boring because of the lack of a sponsor, and adding that plus making the crest larger and the swoosh on the other side of the crest would make this look better

Just too boring for my liking and I know you said you can't really do much with Nike, but I always thought Nike was at it's best with its T90 range.

OMG, I only noticed now that I forgot to put "SO GEHT BANK HEUTE" on the chest, lol. :D Oh, well...
