- Generic Description: Of the ten players who served in the Great War, West Bromwich Albion only had one killed. After the hiatus of the war this was the first season to run for four seasons. This was the Baggies only Top Division winning year. Their Staffordshire rivals of Wolves and Stoke were a division below. This was the year that saw Leeds United form. Leeds City were forced out of the league for financial irregularities! Bradford were represented by both City and Park Avenue, BPA going through the green and white hoop stage. Arsenal have lost the Woolwich but The Wednesday are still ignoring their city roots!
