- Generic Description: As requested from Warrigal. Note all shirts would have had long sleeves. Villa did not have a collar on this kit, my bad, I was being lazy. Because Villa had a good run around this time, several teams adopted the "lucky" claret and blue colours. An influential, Scots, chairman had chosen Hearts and Rangers colours to replace the black shirts that faded quickly due the fabric, dying and washing techniques of the time. he was responsible for Villa's Scottish crest design too. Note there are no Southern teams yet in the league.
