Generic Description:
Home kit for The Toon, in black and white stripes and black shorts. The wide stripes have black and white pinstripes, a new look for Newcastle, and the crest is the one used between 1976 and 1983, with a magpie, a castle and the two blue lines representing the Tyne.
On the back of the shirt is a shield with the slogan "Founded in 1881", the year of the foundation of Newcastle United (1892 was when the team moved into St James' Park.
On the inside of the collar is a popular chant, and the stripes have a weave pattern, like many Toon kits of the past.
