The ground's nickname "Cementerio de Elefantes"·(Elephants Graveyard in English) occurred as a result of Colon's numerous wins there against major teams. Begins with the victory against Santos FC (the most powerful team of that era, at the peak of the career of Pelé), 50 years ago.
