Kit Design Tutorial for BeginnersHere

fsc ea

Japanese side Júbilo Iwata were the fantasy client for the 362nd stage of the Kit of the Week (KOTW) challenge.

For concepts, teams from East Asia get the juices flowing in a particular way that what Europe has to offer, for instance, can’t really compete with, and so it was here.

Eleven excellent entries were submitted and the likes of Skyebaggie’s organised clutter and ArmorKuma’s kinked timelessness stood out.

Standing out even more were the designs that populated the three places on the podium, with raffe including gingham - a type of patterning familiar to Jubilo fans - and getting the bronze medal, Corbin bagging the silver with a not entirely dissimilarly patterned number and, winning out with the gold, ONI deploying IRL supplier Admiral’s famous “tramlines” from the 1970s.

They’ve brought back other looks from decades ago so why not that one?
