Considering how much cash the place is dripping with, it’s not altogether surprising how synonymous with style Monaco is.
Accordingly, AS Monaco and their famous Monte Carlo halves were very welcome in the Kit of the Week (KOTW) challenge - and the members weren’t overawed by the task.
Those said halves, meeting diagonally, were originally the handiwork of Her Serene Highness Princess Grace - Grace Kelly - and are well worthy of the overused (not least here) “iconic”. They were handled beautifully by participants in this stage of our rolling contest.
Of course, there were great change shirts too - by the likes of Football_fan_04 and cukun, nodding to the first-choice diagonality - but there’s no doubt spectacular things were done with the home colours, such as FormaJK bringing the casino to the shirt and a pin, er, hoopy thing from matthewfootball that we hope one day does, yes, grace the Stade Louis II.
In the end, the oft-victorious Corinth came out on top. The Kappa-branded winning design, decided by DF’s own brand of democracy, is gorgeous and Les Monégasques would look superb it in, so no need for a stewards' enquiry. Gamblers can rest contented.
