The 413th stage of the Crest Redesign Competition Weekly (CRCW) was focused on Armavir-based Armenian Premier League Football Club (FC) Noah.
Nominally affiliated with the capital of Armenia, Yerevan, the relatively young team have a striking identity which references Noah’s Ark coming to rest in the mountains of Ararat in Genesis, the first book of the Bible, and these are widely represented by nearby (to Armavir and Yerevan) Mount Ararat.
Plenty for members to get their teeth into, and of course they approached the challenge with gusto.
Fourteen entries is a decent return for 2024 - one the site is very appreciative of - and some standouts included the shields of Segidio, Narci (that trademark star perhaps hasn’t been earned in this case but it’d be a way for the designer/supplier to further infiltrate teams’ identities, à la the adidas boots on the Manchester United crest from days of yore) and OTHYcreative, whose submission went in heavy with Yerevan-ness.
ONI’s creation is almost animated in its sense of action - we swore we saw that dove move - but it was jpcrest_ who came out on top with a crest that, perhaps aptly, is all about the hope once the flood has receded.
We can surely all get on board (!) with that sentiment.
