A quick search for “Porto” will bring up an array of concept kit designs - including that fantasy shirt by matupeco - and plenty of badges too, particularly as the 317th stage of the Crest Redesign Competition Weekly was dedicated to them.
Most of the entries had a significant amount in common with the current crest, and while OTHYcreative went very modern, and Rimm did too but in a completely different way, something that was similar in spirit to what currently holds pride of place on the club’s chest always seemed likely to come out on top in the voting.
Aegon came up with exactly that, and duly won. A brilliant crest worthy of appearing on the shirts of one of Europe’s best.
