Albert Park Swans Football Club | Crest Concept

  • Contest: 1 CITY 1 CLUB - [CLOSED]
  • Submitted by: ONI
  • Generic Description: Crest for a fictional team based in Melbourne. The club owes its name to Melbourne's Albert Park, which is used both as a park throughout the year and as a circuit for car racing, in particular for the Australian Grand Prix, which is usually the opening event of the Formula 1 World Championship (due to the Coronavirus pandemic, this year's GP was postponed to November). The track itself inspires many of the elements of the crest: grey is used to recall the circuit's tarmac, while the green and yellow outlines feature a design similar to the kerbs which can be found along the circuit. The Swans name was chosen because this animal lives by the lake in the park and can often be found crossing the road when the streets are open to the public; the swan's body is created using the F1 track layout.
