Mumbai Lotus FC Crest Concept

- Generic Description: A crest for a concept team from Mumbai, Mumbai Lotus FC. The lotus is one of the symbols of the city, representing purity, and features on Mumbai's coat of arms. It features in the centre of the crest. The clubs motto in Hindi is also that of the city, showing that Mumbai Lotus is a team for all Mumbai. It reads in English, 'Where there is Righteousness, there shall be Victory' . The teams colours are derived from this motto. The white represents righteousness and the gold represents victory. The white is more dominant, showing that while victory is important, it is more important to be righteous. On either side of the crest, a small ship wheel features, a subtle nod to Mumbai's history as a seaport and centre for trade in India. The monochromes combine the gold and white of the city with the red and blue that feature on the coat of arms, though the shade of blue is darker so as to better represent the hue of the Indian Ocean that Mumbai sits on the coat of.
