I\'ve done a few england kits taking inspiration from the classic admiral 80s kit. ive tried to give this one more of a modern spin than the last few. let me know what you think
Interesting, I´ve always liked the Admiral tops so thats a plus. A small detail I really like is the ending of the sleeves, how the bottom bit combines with the collar design and ends with the sleeve curving on top.
The thing is I feel you need to show more tricks than the assymetrical top cut! The first Newcastle kit was great, the Real kit was nice but by now it loses some momentum, you know?
I like it because first of all both the England kits are devoid of imagination . They have technical stuff of the way the body moves etc. But where is the design? An England kit is white with red & blue. This is updated retro. It is hinting at next seasons Spurs kit. I would change the neckline love the detail with the cuffs & also the shorts and socks. Finally just to appease those purists who grave onto a past that never was the blue ought to be slightly darker. When Admiral sold these kits to the great British Public in the early 80s' the trimmings were purple and pink. Fine by me but the daily Mail were shocked surprisingly!
The current England home kit was quite imaginative, there was nothing like it around when it came out last year. Umbro wanted to wipe the slate clean and start again, as umbro kits had been getting more complex and over fussy.
This, or something like this, would be a perfect follow up to the current kit, very different, but just as classy.
