Description: As requested from Warrigal. Note all shirts would have had long sleeves. Villa did not have a collar on this kit, my bad, I was being lazy. Because Villa had a good run around this time, several teams adopted the "lucky" claret and blue colours. An influential, Scots, chairman had chosen Hearts and Rangers colours to replace the black shirts that faded quickly due the fabric, dying and washing techniques of the time. he was responsible for Villa's Scottish crest design too. Note there are no Southern teams yet in the league.

I think it would be hard to find a template for the late 19th and early 20th centuries.
Has you say, Villa didn't have a collar. Crew necks were just as popular up until the late 1920's, and for some reason, players didn't tuck their shirt in.

@Oakleighman cheers mate. No 1918 season, so I might do the 1919 season instead With Albion and Burnley leading the charge! I might need to do a fantasy kit first though, to cleanse my pallet
