On 1st June, Hurlford United will play Glenafton Athletic in the Scottish Junior Cup Final. (Scottish Junior football being the closest equivalent to English Non-League) Hurlford is a village near Kilmarnock with a population of around 5,000. They have never won the Junior Cup previously. This would be their first title. Their current logo is pretty bad so I was charged with updating the design. The town has a history of iron and clay works. The foundry once cast ships propellers, the last of which is at the village cross. I decided to incorporate this in to the new crest.
