At this point nothing is still open and I really don't know anything about discord, but I see this as a ideal platform where we can have a little bit of more fun with our work. My vision is a place where we can communicate more freely with each other, we can have open discussions about running competitions like KOTW or CRCW, share our work in progress, share templates, have friendly matches (maybe we can finally start the versus competition), help each other with tutorials... or just talk about design or anything. Anyone interested?
Hello Friend. I had the idea of making a competition that one kits and crest and that it be in teams of two. maybe after the new LordAtso + competition, I can create it. I agree with your plan!
Zumo, I intend to finish the TWT this week. So if you want to take over the Thursday slot, or there about, that would be good. If everyone is happy you could start it next week, if that gives you enough time to get going.
Not sure if you are aware, but It's also possible to create a private group within designfootball, very much like discord. There you would be able to build a community within a community and you could do all the things you've mentioned. Not sure if this is what you're after but it would keep things non-public.
Of course,, If you want it to be non-DF, then Discord is an alternative.
@PascalHugo
I thought the same thing!
Zumo and PascalHugo, as harmony is the opposite to discord, is there any chance you two could get together on this project. It seems like you both came up with the great idea at about the same time. You could run it together or take it in turns to post.
I believe the admin(s) have just implemented a 'Conversations' function to the website (at least it's now appearing for me). That's pretty neat and, since It works as an instant messenger, maybe creating a group here is now a viable option.
@raffe I've enabled chat functionality on the site. I looked at starting a Discord server, but it was a to much hassle to run it next to DF at this point. Perhaps the chat option is a good addition.
Okay, so I've just created a group so we can see if it works out. If doesn't, we can then migrate to Discord. Maybe I'll make a post later so it reaches more people. Here's the link to the group: https://designfootball.com/Community/Football-Kit-Design/DF-Open-Group
