I like it but would move the banner so you can see more of the griffin. I can see what you're trying but i think it would give it a more classic look.

I'-) also maybe have the St Georges cross in a white border so it doesn't touch any other colours...if that makes sense.

I tend to agree with Steevo here, you could have skipped the banner all to gather and let the griffin been shown, the lettering could have gone under neath it or op of bow the griffin, that is my humble opinion any way.:wink:
