Gaabowski v Rey The one with the most votes by 9pm GMT 7th July will have their kit entered into the last 16 of the World Cup competition. Only votes count from users registered before the start of the competition. I the event of another tie I will cast the deciding vote. For full kit details see Rey - http://www.designfootball.com/design-galleries/fantasy-football-shirts/world-cup-competition-spain-18158 gaabowski - http://www.designfootball.com/design-galleries/fantasy-football-shirts/spain-home-kit-2014-wc-competition-18139 good luck to you both
Gaabowski's kit might look nice at first sight, but suffers from many wrongs once you look better. The way the two shades of red are applied doesn't seem like it would work on an actual shirt, the badge seems huge, and the collar doesn't work either,I don't think it makes sense to apply the flag like that. But then again it's a high-quality,very detailed illustration done by someone that seems to have quite some skill. Rey's kit on the other hand looks nice and simple, but also suffers.Poor drawing quality, shades are too bright and in general it looks unbalanced. It would look much nicer as a leisure polo, but I don't think it works like a kit. Colour combination also seems a bit dated. It would not work nowadays, not that e.g. the all-red kit Spain have now does.
All in all,and because I have to vote for someone,I vote for Rey,mainly due to the elegant simplicity of his kit and how everything's designed to work as an actual kit rather than an illustration.
I go for Rey here, His template may not be as good as Gaabowki´s but I like his idea never the less especially the blue shade in the shorts and the red color in the shirt is more in line what I would expect Spain to wear. Bur Gaabowski has maid a good kit no doubt about that.
Thanks Guys, sorry I was unavailable over the weekend. Good idea for the tiebreak too.
My vote for the tiebreak goes to Gaabowski. Although it's just a template kit which I'm not a fan of. I much prefer the colours to Rey's design.
@joegillibrand The resolution could be to do with my software when combining the two kits, have a look here http://www.designfootball.com/design-galleries/fantasy-football-shirts/orig-world-cup-competition-spain-18158 You can see it fine.
