Not a very creative concept , could have been done with more passion. I read “ DA “ and some work needs to be done on kerning and ligature.

1. Kerning is the relationship between one or more characters. There is only one character, so no kerning.
2. Ligatures are also the relationship between two characters. So again, it would be impossible to reference ligatures here. - This commment is unpublished.

Its a man who posted the Dallas Cowboys logo in a cowboy hat, which kind of says it all!
But yes, you are correct. Created a custom brush and drew the 'A', flattened it and straightened some of the points. It is based off the previous 'A' which Sidn had highlighted elsewhere.
