- Before moving to Stellenbosch, the homonymous club was headquartered in Cape Town and called Vasco da Gama, a nod to their local Portuguese community, as well as an homage to the Brazilian club of the same name. This away kit references Stellenbosch's old roots by featuring a sashed (in Stellenbosch's current colours) and a pattern inspired by elements of their old and new logos.

· 3 months agothanks for the history as this helps us when contemplating the design. The overlay works well and the sash is smart. Is it just me, but all of the Stellenbosch kits remind me of Roma, not just the colours but the sponsor leads us that way too?- This commment is unpublished. · 3 months ago@Skyebaggie Thanks! Yeah, Roma definitely came to mind when I saw the kits posted here, and when I started doing that sashed design, it instantly reminded me of a Roma away kit from a few seasons ago (it was a Nike kit, if I'm not mistaken). I didn't notice the "Rama" sponsor connection at first, though, but now that you pointed it out, I can't help but think how weird of a coincidence this is haha
