There are also elements relating to Miami, including colours that are common for Miami sports teams, and lettering in a design known as Art Deco. The sailing vessel is significant because the team would like to build a stadium at PortMiami. The type of vessel is one that is found in a crest in the town where the Spanish conquistador who explored Florida's coastline in the sixteenth century.
