(Pierrelapa: I know that name of Atalanta is inspired by Greek mythology, but thw representation of the female athlete is enough and what you did is too Greek for Bergamo)
@Alin That was the point my point though. Atalanta was really hard to me, I tried to develop a new character for representing Atalanta, but I couldn't finish before the deadline, so I tried to make it more greek-like to establish a connection with the greek mythology. It's just a concept, I didn't thought that looking greek might offend the Italians from Bergamo.
@Omme Well, Atalanta is greek mythology character, my concept was to try to make that more evident. I didn't thought as looking greek as something troublesome for Italians. I couldn't just use the current logo with little adjustments because that's what my opponent did - and it looked good. So I needed to try something different. I think the Atalanta crest from the 80s is perfect, I would go back to that if I was in Atalanta board. Anyway, thanks for your feedback I guess.
@pierrelapa It isn't offensive, but it simply does not reflect Italian culture. The name comes from the Greek character of Atalanta and in fact in Italy it is nicknamed "Dea" which in English is goddess. But beyond that there is no reference to Greek. Your choice to add that gold frame in full Greek style compromises the Italian style in full. The logo of the 80s is very beautiful but it was changed because of the full female silhouette, and it was chosen to keep exclusively the head.
