The following is an attempt to show the colours used by teams in the English Football League. This is the 92 teams that play in the top four national leagues, the Premiership, the Championship and Leagues 1&2. I aim to show the overall colours and this is not an attempt at super detail. All badges, sponsors logos and overlay patterns are omitted. It is indicative of each kit and not supposed to be accurate in terms of colour shade or number of stripes etc. So I have not differentiated between the blues of Chelsea and Everton but did ensure WBA’s stripes are Navy and White.
For each colour I will do the plain/solid colour teams first, in alphabetical order and then style variations. So in this case Arsenal come after Wrexham. Without shorts some of the teams are difficult to distinguish, despite collar and cuff variations. As you can see the dominant colours, in order, are red, blue and white. Match officials traditionally wore black so no home/primary shirts are that colour. Only two green shirts and a few variations on yellow/orange. A few unique designs including Bradford City’s Amber and Claret stripes, FGR shade of green. Only Blackburn Rovers favour halves and only Bristol Rovers and Wycombe Wanders favour quarters. No current sash designs, Ajax wide stripe designs or diagonal halves. Only Middlesborough use a single horizontal stripe.
Because you are all curious the teams are:-
Row 1
Accrington Stanley, Barnsley, Bristol C, Charlton A, Cheltenham, Crawley, Crew, Leighton Orient, Liverpool, Manchester United, Morecambe, Nottingham Forrest, Rotherham, Salford, Stevenage,
Row 2
