Qixing (Seven Star) is a mountain in Taipei, overlooking the city and renowned for its hot springs, the outline of the peak is on the crest.

The colours are inspired by the nickname of Taipei as "City of Azaleas", and a stylized blossom is on the crest. The red, yellow, green and blue are from the flag and logo of Taipei, and stand for Vitality, sunshine, the environment and the ocean.
