The home shirt uses a subtle repeating pattern of a distorted Yorkshire rose. The kit is white with gold trim. The away is blue, the colour used on the flag of Yorkshire, along with another Yorkshire rose. The crest combines the Yorkshire rose with the colours blue and gold. Yorkshire is the largest county in the UK, and is divided into four ridings, the east, west, north and south. It is also the third most populous county behind Greater London and Lancashire. The historic Yorkshire rose is the symbol of the house of York, one of the two belligerents in the war of the roses.
@ConceptFootball .......or maybe Wensleydale Cheese! I'll resist a Wallace and Grommit quote! Do Betty's Tea Shop have logo? I have often wondered how the comic book hero Superman would have got on if he landed in York, as opposed to New York! Less of this nonsense, nice design.
