Home kit for the toffees, inspired by the kits from the 1930s and 1920s, with navy socks, shadow pinstripes, a pocket on the shirt, the EFC monogram on the socks and back of the shirt, and a simplified crest. Please click on the zoom button to see in full detail. Comments would be cool
Thanks, just looking at all the Everton crest designs, and how they all included everything (the motto, the date, the full name), all they really need is the lock up and the two wreaths in a shield. The Motto, the foundation date, the full name - none of it was on the kits from the 1920s and 30s, the 60s, the 70s and 80s, and it never needed to be.
This is what the badge should be, the club seems to be obsessed with cramming all the elements into the crest, and there is no need whatsoever.
I think the reasoning behind wanting the name of the club to be in the badge itself is to create some sort of global brand identity. It's absurd because in reality any real football fan would recognise the badge on its own, and in all honesty it's not as if a new badge will turn Everton into some global 'franchise' anyway.
Aside from the badge, the kit itself is also superb.
