Bahraini Premier League side Al-Muharraq Sports Club (SC) were the fantasy client for the 359th stage of the Kit of the Week (KOTW) challenge.
Perhaps not as high a profile as all previous subjects of concept creation in KOTW but that didn’t stop members enjoying the contest, and certainly visitors to the site enjoying the fruits of their labours.
OTHYcreative, for example, does a great line in shirts carrying the name of the team’s home city in the country’s native language, which works particularly well when Arabic script is called for - the use of gold worked very nicely too.
In fact, the whole of the voting page has significant merit, and it would have been tricky to choose between the entries.
In the end, raffe and ONI’s cultural nods - and the spiky nods to the flag of Bahrain - were converted to bronze and silver medals, respectively, and the glory of the victory went to Oakleighman once again with a template-driven-rather-than-constrained offering.
Referencing the Bahraini flag? Check. Gold and white embellishing the red base? Check again, and the DHL logo looks so much better that way…
