As we’ve said before, our two main challenges - the Kit of the Week (KOTW) challenge and the Crest Redesign Competition Weekly (CRCW) - bounce between world-renowned, top-table fantasy clients and the more obscure.

Sheikh Russel Krira Chakra Limited definitely fall into the latter category. Named after the late son of Sheikh Mujibur Rahman, killed, along with his father, during the 15 August 1975 Bangladesh coup d'état, it was decided that the Bangladesh Premier League (BPL) side needed a refresh to their crest and so the CRCW was called into action.

Back in February, in the shadow of the horrendous developments in Ukraine - which sadly remain in progress at time of publishing - the decision was taken by the members involved in the Crest Redesign Competition Weekly (CRCW) to make a gesture of support.

Dynamo Kyiv are one of, if not the, most widely known Ukrainian football teams, with their history littered with huge names like Igor Belanov, Oleg Blokhin, Serhiy Rebrov and Andriy Shevchenko - as well as legendary coach Valeriy Lobanovskyi - so represented a great choice for our flagship club/national team badge contest, even without the link to current affairs.

We’re going to be frank, sometimes a club featured in the Crest Redesign Competition Weekly (CRCW) is in desperate need of a badge overhaul, and South Africa’s Roses United FC are one such example.

While the “Keep On Keeping On” motto adds a certain charm - and brings to mind Streatham Rovers’ “#NeverStopNotGivingUp” - the image surely can’t be enhanced by something so crudely produced.
