The 312th chapter of the Crest Redesign Competition Weekly (CRCW) set up camp in North Africa - Tunisian capital Tunis, to be exact.
Current Tunisian Ligue Professionnelle 1 champions Espérance Sportive de Tunis - truth be told, it’s been a while since they weren’t champions - played the fantasy client role, with the members doing the famous side’s identity justice, as far as this layman can see anyway.
One disappointment - again, for this layman - was the almost universal abandonment of the human figure on the current badge, though one smart example of its inclusion came from OrderStart (then “BYBLogo”).
Instead, modernity reigned, with the likes of johnrafael’s shield-based crest and the beautifully simplified initialism-centric entry from SSmithDesigns.
It was another shield badge that gave us our winner (via the voting). Dynamic streamlined the look, whilst managing to include Arabic script, and handed focal-point duties to the aforementioned human figure’s Telstar football.
ES Tunis shirts would certainly look great carrying it as an emblem on the breast.
