As we’ve said before, our two main challenges - the Kit of the Week (KOTW) challenge and the Crest Redesign Competition Weekly (CRCW) - bounce between world-renowned, top-table fantasy clients and the more obscure.
Sheikh Russel Krira Chakra Limited definitely fall into the latter category. Named after the late son of Sheikh Mujibur Rahman, killed, along with his father, during the 15 August 1975 Bangladesh coup d'état, it was decided that the Bangladesh Premier League (BPL) side needed a refresh to their crest and so the CRCW was called into action.
Not boasting a huge amount of entries - does “three” even qualify as a handful? - the 294th stage of the club/national team badge challenge still provided value, with the trio of submissions offering slightly different takes on the same themes.
In the end it was Bogmar who won the day. The votes were very evenly distributed - indicating the quality to choose from - but did serve their purpose, with a semi-official classy and sensitive alternative to the existing crest put on record.
