We’re going to be frank, sometimes a club featured in the Crest Redesign Competition Weekly (CRCW) is in desperate need of a badge overhaul, and South Africa’s Roses United FC are one such example.
While the “Keep On Keeping On” motto adds a certain charm - and brings to mind Streatham Rovers’ “#NeverStopNotGivingUp” - the image surely can’t be enhanced by something so crudely produced.
In step the DF members. Dan808, for example, kept things relatively twee, while Bogmar and Jackeen went for the ultra modern.
Truly, all of the crests entered would be an improvement - even the inclusion of a typo wouldn’t render ferrusmanus’s entry inferior to the current model - but it was Narci who came out on top.
Their entry, keeping the elements of the original but with contemporary polish, won out in the voting and certainly would be worthy of placement on Roses United players’ chests.
