With the Crest Redesign Competition Weekly (CRCW), it’s often the case that the subject matter is a major football club or international team with a glorious history.
Sometimes, on the other hand, it’s a team that just has an impactful identity. They don’t come more impactful than that of Missile Football Club.
To indulge a little #everydaymilitarism, the Gabonese entity - who are apparently an armed forces representative side - certainly inspired DF members into action in our challenge's 274th stage, and, yeah, we got a load of different pictures of weapons of mass destruction.
While points go to everyone for not making the missile look anywhere near as phallic as Jeff Bezos’s space rocket, for instance, it was actually ferrusmanus's stylish and quasi-three-dimensional twist on the existing badge that came out on top. Of the others, Naruteo’s minimalist, approximation-of-a-pointy-bomb entry didn’t fare so well but may be a look that’ll sit easier in a couple of generations’ time.
CRCW, meanwhile, goes on, with entries in one stage and votes on another in progress at any given point. Get involved.
