Description: For this one, no major changes on Arsenal's home kit, apart from using white socks instead of claret. For Barcelona, however, I needed to adapt most of the kit. The shirt lost its stripped sleeves, being plain blue, and the claret stripes on the front and back of the shirt feature small blue stripes inside of it. Using that technic, the "grana" stripes are still there, but have a rather transparent look. For the shorts, a simple change from red to blue (which is their traditional, anyways, so no problem here), just to avoid the overall clash between kits.

This is an interesting one. When I wrote the original article I did have Paris '06 in mind and you've seized upon a lot of the potential - such as switching Barça's shorts 'back' to blue.

I think with the darkness of the redcurrant shirt, it may still be "sub-optimal" (Richard Ayoade used it on Gadget Man last night - brilliant) to have Arsenal wearing that - Arsenal changed against Chelsea in the 2005 Community Shield then both sides wore Homes in the league, which wasn't great, and I think with Barça having just that hint of "grana", as you say, would make it even worse.

I know it may go against the rules but how about Arsenal wearing their more traditionally recognisable colours - with plenty of white and keeping the Barça changes you've made? Perhaps as a one-off kit or maybe wearing the following season's Home with the contemporaneous sponsor, as Celtic did in Seville in 2003.

I was initially planning to do that, Jay. Maybe even add more white to Arsenal's traditional kit (somewhat like Altetico Madrid's away from this season, but obviously in red and white). However, I thought that changing the colour and design of that kit might have taken part of its essence (as It was designed to celebrate the Arsenal's last season playing at Highbury).
