It’s time that brands like Nike looked toward the future, rather than the 2013/14 templates which familiarly garner the range of ‘retro’ designs, which to any astute football fan translate’s as ‘kop out’. This progressive Manchester City strip signifies a step forward in design, whilst remaining smart, clean, timeless and elegant.
I agree with everything you wrote in your description but I don't see how that relates to the kit you've made, it looks like it follows the current Nike styling pretty accurately besides a pattern over the top of it.
Only the drill holes are the same - If Im designing for a brand I would use something as their identity in this case to show its Nike. Otherwise what else is the same? Completely different to Nike's templates and ethos (which is an entire collection based on Aitor Throup's 2009 'Tailored by England' milestone kit). Daring to use embroidery and gradient is something brands have been scared to use since the horror of the 90s, but it can be explored and made into something tasteful. The kit really models the player, despite its audacity.
