Quoting Rob Andrews -
"I'm looking to produce a prototype kit for the Youth National teams for USA Futsal to wear and hoping to have a competition to see who can create the best one for us.
The brand of shirt will likely be Nike or Penalty, which both have similar non-obtrusive logo. The logo for USA Futsal is attached.
The designer who wins will get 1 year's exposure on usafutsal.com and Twitter exposure to our over 7,000 followers, many of whom are futsal clubs around the world.
We can also offer £100; I know it's not much, but it's only for a prototype for us. Even though we may never get to use it, I want to make sure the winner who creates it is at least compensated somewhat for their trouble.
***If the contest winner does not choose to accept our small cash prize, we will be able to offer them physical exposure at the USA Futsal World Championships which will be held at the Walt Disney World Resort in Orlando, Florida August 4-10th. 192 futsal teams will participate from all over the world.
RULES:
First round competition is on until November 16th. 5 variations will be selected on the 16th and feedback on all 5 will be given. At that point, designers must stay within their basic concept but can revise/polish their designs based on the feedback they receive before the final submissions must be in on November 22nd.
Monday November 25th the winner will be announced and prizes will be awarded.
We obviously need 1 home (white based) and away (color based) kit to be very patriotic and likely linked in color scheme, and very modern. We would like the 3rd kit to really push the boundaries and turn heads in both design and color.
The logo will be uploaded in .ai full color but we frequently use the logo in white, or faded into backgrounds in one color as it is very flexible.
So don't feel you need to stay within the same pantones or even 2 colors when making your design, just keep our goals and who we represent in mind. Best of luck to everyone!"
Rob Andrews, President, USA Futsal
