The first of probably a fair few designs. With this one I\'ve eliminated many of the Reigate associated parts of the old emblem. Namely the image of Reigate Castle, The cross, which I\'ve only seen used on Reigate Priory School\'s crest. Instead, there is an image of St Johns Church spire, which can be seen easily from Earlswood, Redhill and Redhill Common. At the bottom is train\'s front guard, symbolising Redhill\'s large development after the construction of the Railways. One crest utilises the checks from the original crest which I assume is derived from the Warenne coat of arms. As this is often more associated with Reigate, I have included a striped version.
Julian this is not a bad idea at all, but I feel there is tow much going one here, I get the feeling that you want to incorporate all possible elements that can be associated to the town and by doing that it becomes overflowing. I had at least left out the railway guard or the church spire or tried to semplice it in some way. Hope you don´t take my critic to badly.
