- Please Zoom in for Full Quality Image! For my second design in this competition I have decided to go with Leyton Orient to try and revive part of their somewhat unusual chequered home shirt from the 1990s and early 2000s (believed to be the only time an English team has worn such a design) and fuse that with their traditional brace design that has been used many times since the clubs most successful period in the 1970s until the present day, for a new away kit! I used Black as the base of the away kit to make the Red and White chequered pattern inside the braces come across as bold as possible, to house the chequered pattern into the braces I used a thin Red stripe to help the pattern flow a bit better and look much nicer on the eye. The cheques continue from the shirt down onto the shorts before the pattern stops for a much more simple and plain design for the socks. On the back of the kit around the collar you will find a smaller insert of the chequered pattern and underneath that is the club name Leyton Orient in an elegant font to give it a more modern and classy touch to round the shirt off! Then on the back of the socks you will also find this smaller insert of the pattern to help the socks be in-keeping with the overall design. I then kept the clubs current sponsors Samsung (Front of the shirt) and EA Sports FIFA 14 (Back of the shorts) and finally I used my own brand Turner Sports as the kit manufacturer.
