This takes inspiration from the current emblem (Quasar, colours) and the original LA Galaxy logo (Wordmark, galaxy pattern). Compared to a previous version of this I posted, the quasar is now separate from the swirl and the gold is a slightly deeper shade.

The key pattern comes from the decor of the Griffith Observatory.
