This looks way too much like a Chinese kit, and it really needs blue on the kit to stop that from happening. Also, while I like the tailored look, its not really for the Japanese team

Don't see why Japan wear blue. The red sun on white background is the perfect inspiration for a good shirt. The Chineese would wear red with yellow trimmings, so there's no clash in colours but I see your point with China and Japan's current kits. Anyway, I always thought Japan ought to wear a white and red kit so I gave it a go

Japan wear blue as it was once the colour the imperial army's uniforms, they have worn colours like these before but stopped because there was to much resemblance to the Chinese and Korean kits.

Now the history lesson is over, it's just too minimalist, for such a simple design I would have liked to have seen a little bit more detail in it.
