Nice colours combination here, good job on sleeves, but I'm not sure about that partial band in the center? I think that three bands below a chest line would be good enough and leave the upper part plain burgundy. I like this design!

The reason for the upper bands is to give the effect of a chevron. The chevron is a design that has become very common in rugby league and what differentiates it from rugby union.
