Good research and good clean looking shirts. A criticism of FIFA, and not your design, my understanding is that they do not like full prominent crosses on kit. They see them as religious and/or political and therefore keen not to offend. This is a design site, so anything goes but we should all consider the Portugal kit that had a cross design on it, all be it more stylised and subtle. Any thoughts anyone?

As I've seen a cross design on several club shirts (Parma's home kit above all), I hadn't thought that could be an issue for national kits, so I did some research on the matter. It is true that FIFA regulations state that religious symbols should not appear on kits, but they also specify that symbols that form part of the national flag can be used throughout the kit, so I think that they would allow this shirt; an example of this would be Finland's rumoured home kit for EURO2020, which features the same cross that appears on the flag.

@ONI I like crosses on kits and your kit looks good. I suspect that FIFA are not always consistent either. I only raised it to make people aware and generate some conversation on the theme.

@ONI Nice designs ONI. I never realised FIFA had regulations banning religious symbols. I quite like a cross design but not on an England shirt. They would look great for some club sides. I like a fleur-de-lis design, reminds me of my time in the scouts. 8)
