Hello and welcome to the Female Crests Competition. In this contest, we will be taking professional football club crests and redesigning them to look more femenin. I hope that this does not sound sexist in any way, I made this competition simply out of curiosity, to see what you could come up with.
The competition deadline will be January 31, and then all Design Footbal and FSC Members will have a week to vote for their favourit. Obviously you can not vote for yourself, but even if you take part you can still vote for someone else, be a good sport!
To design a good crest, do your research; Find out information like what year the female team was established and elements that played a part in the history of the female team. DO NOT Just take an existing football crest and put the words "Ladies" on it, be creat
All crest designs can be submitted, regardless of weather it is hand-drawn or done on the computer. It would be a great help if you all entered.
Good Luck!

DF admin update - 5/2/15:
This competition is attracting a lot of criticism online as, despite the hope "that this does not sound sexist in any way", let's face it, it sounds pretty sexist. What's worse is that, even if we assume the original concept is not sexist, the execution, so far, is staggeringly unsophisticated and crude. If all five entries so far prominently including the colour pink doesn't set off alarm bells in your head then you need to take a long hard look at yourself. As for an Arsenal crest with a stiletto on it instead of a cannon, heaven help us.
So we're going to let this competition - which is due to close on the revised date of 31st March - run, in the hope that further entries actually demonstrate a more sophisticated and refined view of how to "feminise" crests, including some palatable justification of why such an idea (either from left-field or right-wing) would even be applicable. Perhaps - PERHAPS - certain crests are archaically and jarringly masculine and need to be neutralised through a process of feminisation, or maybe a crest should somehow evoke the female nature of the members of a ladies football team, in an enlightened manner. Here's a clue: renderings of high heels are not the answer.
Please note, if this competition doesn't drag itself into 2015 pretty quickly then we will be forced to close it and remove the gallery. DF is better than this and will remain so.

P.S. Sportix is now banned form this competition, for sexist offence and competition sabotage. FHLD
