@joegillibrand this is a valid complaint, which was completely unacknowledged by ziko. Look at hendos crest for last week; with this texture, you cannot see the darker shade in the white portion of the crest because the texture is completely hiding it. Yes he will won, but either way, it can influence votes. Ziko also forcibly edited Hendos crest to work on a white background, a background color the crest would never have to be on. Please change to home shirt color and no texture.
@joegillibrand Came here to say this too. Your efforts and hard work on this contest are very much appreciated, but the texture is a little detail which causes a lot of - for a lack of a better word - discomfort.
@joegillibrand Like I wrote under this week entry, new look for whole competition will be implemented starting around Week 26 (end of June). But with that there will be also one more rule - from there, file with TRANSPARENT background will be OBLIGATORY.
Well Ziko if a transparent background is to obligatory then I will have to pass of further participation in this competition as I have no knowledge how to do that, sorry.
@Rabbi What software do you use? Normally pasting the crest into a new document and exporting a png file should work, that's how I do it in Illustrator.
@Rabbi Just did a small Google search and apparently it works just like Illustrator: you just have to paste the crest into a new document and export a .png file. Beware: not SAVE,EXPORT.
@Hendo Yes, Hendo is right, just export it to a .PNG file in RGB mode (for web), the background (or selection) should be empty, that's what i do for my Corel logos.
