I normally don't vote in these competitions as I think the designers should not vote in a competition they part of, but I have absolutely nothing against the voting set up as it is, but please can we try to avoid getting into arguments here, we have had enough of that in the past and can we try to ignore comments like the one from Bird, he is entitled to his opinion and we do not have to take it personally, if you don't like it then ignore it.
@Rabbi We can try to ignore, no problem, but would not be better to try avoiding making them in the first place...dont you think? So after bird comment, the problem was my reaction? Im tired of this
@Rabbi I dont say you do. I think if you have something to say, it is welcomed. this "political correctness" will ruin our world (i mean..in general). i think this community should be about sharing our work, our opinions and our feedback..this kindda "ignoring" mentality has brought this community to have 99% of posts without any comment, any feedback. I think we should expres our opinions and feelings more often. Bird have the right to his opinion and i did not said that he shouldnt say what he said..its only purely not true and i pointed out my disagrement.
We are all different, i dont know why is expected to have the same reaction all , or not to have a reaction at all. i am more firey, maybe others are more chill. I like a bold opinion when there is objectivity and at least a small trace of truth.
@Rabbi You dont have to say ok if you dont agree what i said, you know..also, you could react to bird comment, not only at my reaction, if you are truly honest...i think
@terion In an ideal world, we would give constructive comments, interact, etc. But as Rabbi mentioned, the past has shown us that things quickly escalate as some designers don't have a thick enough skin to handle criticism and some commenters just want to stir things up. In the end, it just brings a nasty vibe to the site.
Bird's vote won't count as he did not give 3 and 1 point votes. Regarding your background; not sure why it was removed, this shouldn't have happened.
@Design Football i understand your angle but for me, is sad that in all of this, the "problem" was me and not the annoying comment. sad and interesting. i dont see any harm in a civilized argument..is life, thats humanity, friends.
dont get me wrong, i can deal with any kind of feedback, the comment did not ofended me at all..it just make me realise the level of some voters and that makes me wonder if is any point in this or not, even if is only for fun
@terion Terion the reason for my comment was just as 5he administrator of the site said we have in the past had way to many incidents that started out harmlessly but escalated to fears arguments resulting in many very good designers have left this site in my opinion that is a pity, I do have a opinion both on designs here and things said on this site but chose not to say anything to avoid creating problems, I my self did participated in discussion here like the one you have done but it did nothing but create problems both for me and others, I should have kept my mouth shut in this instance let it be, but I found it bad to see you considering to leave the site or the competition, I did not mean any harm with my comment and will in the future stay away from all comments here and voting, I will thought put in my designs in this competition as I like it and do not take it personally although folks don't like my work. I hope you continue here and apologise to you and others here if I buted in where I should not have.
@Rabbi i get you, Rabbi, don't worry. i just found a bit strange to advise ignoring bad comments and not to advise avoiding to make bad comments instead. that's all. it's like when you try to cure the pain but not trying to cure the cause of the pain, if i may use this "picture". Everything's cool!
