For this redesign I got inspired by an actual crest of a firefighter department in US. On a shape like the old crest of Chicago Fire FC but slightly modified i've drawn a C from Chicago, where one side of it represents an ladder. In the middle i've put a 6 points star in halves just like are the crowns in the new crest.
Good looking and interesting logo here ; you left a small residue of the red on the navy background, love the choice of font, as it compliments the main idea of the soft curves. The right portion seems empty - perhaps you can add a year of the establishment? Also, did you try to make that " C " in that shade of gold and the lettering in navy ? Good job here !
Thanks. I've tried everything you've said but I haven't like it. Making the C yellow, will result in a too flashy crest, as that C will not be hidden as it is now. And for that empty space, again, the result was not my type, beside the star, I've wanted that all the elements to by somehow abstract, by making a part of the C to resemble a firefighter ladder I've achieved my goal, but on the other side... damn... I've tried to put a Fire Engine (as a homage to the alternative crest they had back in the time) = failed attempt; a Fire Hydrant = failed attempt ; a Firefighter Hat/Helmet = failed attempt ; a pair of Fire Axes with the year 1997 alongside him = failed attempt. The result was that because of my choice to make an element from the left side abstract, the one from the left side should be also abstract and by leaving it as it is (normal/real) would mess up the whole aesthetics of my redesign, so I've decided to leave that side empty.
