I tried to preserve some emblem heritage in this crest, tracing the quills and the eye of the Ashanti hedgehog and rotating 90 degrees. It creates an ambiguous graphic but hopefully, people can see that it is an evolution of the hedgehog. The shape of the back of the hedgehog fits nicely into an oval, first formed by the name of the club at the top and the Ashanti motto "Kill a thousand, a thousand will come" rounding out the bottom in a smaller text. In between the club name and motto sits a Dame-Dame on either side of the crest. It is the Adinkra symbol of intelligence, ingenuity, and strategy (I don't know how Asante Kotoko play, but most clubs dream of a football identity aligning with this symbol). The layout of the crest reminds me a little of SC Freiburg. This crest looks beautiful as a black & white crest, but the yellow brings it closer to the current Asante Kotoko brand, almost making it look like a royal seal.
