Love them or loathe them, universal templates are ubiquitous in football kit design. From the celebrated Adidas templates of the 90s to the maligned Nike Vapor kits of Euro 2016 and everywhere in between. This is a competition to design your own universal template which could be used as a base for any club or national team around the world. You should pay attention to both form and function when creating your design. It will need to be made to incorporate stripes, hoops, plain shirts, patterned shirts, sponsor logos, numbers and any other other design element that a particular team might require. My suggestion would be to create your own fantasy label (if you don't have one already) for your kits. Remember, you are designing for yourself, not the major international brands! This will also release the shackles of their design language and let your creative juices flow freely! Minimum Entry Requirements: You will need to design at least 4 shirts: Plain Shirt Striped Shirt Hooped Shirt Wildcard Shirt (incorporating a design element of your choice) You also need to design the back and include a name and number for each shirt. You must also create shorts and socks to complete your kit. You must post your entry on a single canvas which includes all of the above - this is for the voting page. You may also post your designs individually to the gallery if you want to show off additional elements of the kits. 1 entry per designer. Make it count! The deadline for entries will be 31 March at 2359 GMT. No entries after this time will be considered. The winner of the competition will be determined by public vote. Only members who joined DesignFootball.com before 21 February 2018 are eligible to vote.
