The luck of the draw really doesn't seem to be on my side this season. Anderlecht poses a massive challenge to anybody, I presume - although certain designers on here (such as MatFatCat, just look it up) have already been able to properly modernize and improve upon RSC's crest - I really struggled not to plagiarize, since they came up with such brilliant ideas. Anderlecht's crest is one of the most detailed, some may say bloated, one of the oldest, some may say outdated, one of the most traditional, some may say messy crests in the entire football world. As a consequence, I tried to go as minimalistic as minimalistic can be. I am fully aware that by removing some of the greatly adored elements, the coat of arms of Anderlecht, the motto strip, the two rings, the wheat wreaths, the stars, amongst others, I might just displease most every RSCA fan out there. But I feel it had to be done in other to properly restructure the crest. And then along came the typography. I felt it best to make the letters the focal point of the crest, since anything else would've been too fidgety and detailed to really work well and cleanly. I feel the letters and circle really make the most of RSC's great colour combination of purple and white. And to top it off, the crown as in "Royal" must not be missing, of course - I simplifyed the design and added the Belgian flag to at least keep that element in there. As usual, feedback would be much appreciated!
