Major League Soccer announced today the creation of its newest franchise, New York FC. The team don't have any logo or uniform yet, so I thought this would be a good reason for a competition.
You may create a crest or uniforms (home, away or third) or all of them. Your call.
RULES 1. The crest and home kit have to be mainly light blue and white, since they're the main colours of the club. For the away and third kits, you may use different colours.
2. No red, as it's worn by their future rivals, NY Red Bull.
3. The kit supplier (if you decide to make an uniform) must be adidas, as they supply every MLS team.
There'll be four winners for this competition: one for best crest, one for best home, one for best away and one for best third kits.
Entries will be accepted until 22nd June 2013 at 00:00 (GMT), when I'll select the winners.

Best Crest: The toughest one to decide. Great designs include hyperakt clean but expressive design (http://bit.ly/145Mf4B). Also, thisiscarlos (http://bit.ly/14tDgJh) and Cláudio Cruz's (http://bit.ly/11JnzM8) designes were simply amazing. However, the "award" for best crest design goes to feel (http://bit.ly/14mwVz4). He did an awesome job with the colours and lines of the crest. Besides that, it's the crest which looked the most MLS-ish. Congrats, feel.
Best Home Kit: this one goes to matupeco and his brilliant design (http://bit.ly/14mxWY1). The lines and details of the kit make it simply unique.
Best Away Kit: chadlwright created a design (http://bit.ly/11JoyMe) that is being used very often by many teams. Yet, the design is classy and looks good in those colours, thus deserving the 1st place in this category.
Best Third Kit: another first place to matupeco. Again, his design (http://bit.ly/10h4tzv) presents stylish lines and details. I also liked that it features an unusual combination of colours, but that worked perfectly.

Finally, I'd like to thank everyone who took part in this competition. Some great designs were created, and I'm sure that if someone at NYCFC or adidas saw this competition, they would definitely use some ideas shown here. Congratulations to all you guys!
